Discover Artic Lyngen Seacamp
Arctic-Lyngen Seacamp is located on the shores of the Lyngenfjord with a panoramic view of the Lyngen Alps, only 2 hours from Tromsø.
Our newly refurbished high-standard camp has 3 fully equipped lodges with all the comfort you need to enjoy your stay. WIFI everywhere, sauna, hot tub, and a Bistro/Restaurant which is a special place where the locals meet tourists from all over the world. This unique mix makes this place quite unique.
Providing guided outdoor activities such as dog sledding, Northern Light hunts, ski touring, and cross-country skiing, we give you the possibility to experience the Arctic way of life at its best.

Our Lodges
Our lodges face the spectacular Lyngen Alps, and during the winter you can admire the Northern Lights directly from your cabin. From the end of May to the end of July, the Midnight sun is here, and it never sets.
Each lodge has two bedrooms – one room with twin beds, and the other room with one bed 120CM and one single bed. There is a private bathroom with sink, shower, and toilet.

- Grocery store open 24/7 located only 100m from camp.
Our Campsite
With us, you will find the campsite that probably has Norway’s finest view. Wake up to panoramic views of the mighty Alps and the Lyngenfjord. We offer about 15 exclusive places in total to camp with your caravan or motorhome. In addition, we offer space for tenting. We have a service house with a shower and toilet of good quality, and we have recently upgraded to a brand-new emptying station for chemical toilets. Service house with kitchen facilities and a toilet. Open from 01.04 – 15.10. Our camp is close to the sea, and access to popular hiking trails, deep-sea fishing, bird watching, etc.
We also have what must be Norway’s coziest pub and bar with all rights.
How to Get Here
Sørkjosen (SOJ) airport is situated approximately 20 minutes by car from our camp, and has direct flights from/to Tromsø twice a day.
Tromsø (TOS) airport is situated approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes from the camp, and you can rent a car at the airport, or catch the local bus number 150 or 160 that goes directly to the camp.
Coastal steamer Hurtigruten/Havila or speedboat from Tromsø: If you are arriving by boat, Skjervøy is the nearest stop (Approximately 50 minutes by car)

Frequently Asked Questions
Artic Lyngen is approximately 2,5 hours by car from Tromsø (TOS) airport, either via road around the fjord or via ferry. Sørkjosen (SOJ) airport is closer, about 20 minutes away, with daily flights to and from Tromsø.
The northern lights are visible from late September to early April. The Lyngenfjord region typically enjoys clearer skies than Tromsø, increasing your chances of a sighting on any given night.
We offer activities all year. Summer brings hiking, fishing, midnight sun and whale watching opportunities. Winter offers ski touring, dog sledding and northern lights tours. Spring and autumn are ideal for fishing and aurora hunting.
The main whale watching season is from November to January, when orcas and humpback whales follow the herring into the fjords near Skjervøy and Lyngen.
We offer three fully equipped lodges by the Lyngenfjord, around 15 pitches for caravans and motorhomes, and space for tents during the camping season (1 May to 30 September).
The 3-night Winter Experience includes accommodation, breakfast, two-course dinners, a guided dog sledding excursion, a whale watching tour with transfers, and a northern lights safari. The package costs 19 500 NOK per person, minimum 2 guests.
The reception is open daily from 16:00 to 22:00 between 15 March and 31 August. Caravan and tent guests have 24-hour QR-code gate access from 1 May to 30 September. Outside the main season, the camp is open exclusively for guests with a winter package or cabin booking.
Transfer from Sørkjosen airport is available on request (1000 NOK per person). Transfer from Tromsø is included in our Winter Experience package. Otherwise, we recommend renting a car or taking the local bus 150 or 160. Note: these buses stop at Lund along the E6, a short walk from the camp. Contact us for exact directions.
Yes, cancellations made 60 days or more before arrival are free of charge. Cancellations between 59 and 30 days before arrival require 50% payment, and 29 days or less before arrival require 100% payment.
Our team speaks English and Norwegian, and often French during the high season (March to September). The website is available in English.
