Aurora over Artic-Lyngen Seacamp Artic-Lyngen Sea camp
is located at the shore, with panoramic view over the famous. Lyngen Alps and the Lyngen fjord. In the back, you will see the lovely forest and the famous peak STORHAUGEN almost raging 1300m over the fjords. No place else you can experience the arctic landscape as dramatic as this. Here you stay in high-standard cabins overlooking the Lyngen Alps, covered in white snow and glaciers. Artic-Lyngen Seacamp was built in 2012 and the cabins are fully equipped for self catering, but dinner is served every day in a big lavvu (sami tent).
In the Artic-Lyngen Camp, you will find 3 lodges that can accommodate a maximum of 14 persons in total. Each lodge has two bedrooms – one room with two single beds, and the other room with 1 double bed. There is a bathroom per lodge with sink, shower and toilet. The 3 lodges holds flat-screen TV with Norwegian, Swedish and English channels, wireless wi-fi and a fully equipped kitchen with hobs, oven, fridge with freezer, a dishwasher, microwave, mocha master coffee machine & kettle.
The cabins are stylishly furnished with sofa, armchairs, separate eating area, lamps, etc. Breakfast you make yourself from the well filled fridgerator. Dinner is served every afternoon in the lavvo.

Arrive by flight on own. Transfer from airport to Artic-Lyngen Seacamp via one of the following airports: Tromsø Airport Langnes, or Alta airport. At the Camp, you will be welcomed by the staff. Here you will have some practical information and safety briefings about your stay before you are allocated to the lodge. In the evening you will be served a dinner with local food in a Lavvu (large Sami tent). Already tonight we go chasing the light.

Day 2 – HUSKY TOUR / SNOWMOBILE SAFARI ~no: Hundekjøring ~en: Dog Sledding
Breakfast in the cabin – made by yourself. Today you are on your own. Doing activities or tracking nearby, or simply relax in the cabin. Or go on activity ordered in advance. Dinner at ca 19,00 in Lavvu. After its time for outdoor hot-tub and/or chasing the aurora nearby, by foot or minibus with professional guide with photographic knowledge.
A beautiful journey into the valley. The trail is about 10 km and is in an area with great opportunities to see wild animals such as moose, fox, lynx and wolverine. After the trail you will be served tea/coffee/cake at the farm`s outhouse dining room. You will be provided with everything you need to make the tour comfortable. With the Northern Lights dancing over the mountains, this is an experience you not will forget. We go with minibus or car from camp to starting point. It is prox 3 hours dog sledding, and 2 pax per sledge.
snowmobile trips provide an opportunity to combine an adventure with a sightseeing experience which would be hard to experience without the scooters in the arctic landscape. You will be provided with everything you need for the ride, warm overalls, boots, gloves and helmets are necessary to make the tour safe and comfortable. Not to mention, tons of fun. Don’t forget to bring your camera! We go with minibus or car to the starting point. Hot drinks are served. The snowmobile tour is prox 2 hours. Upon arrival back at the camp, you will be served a local dinner in the Lavvu (Large Sami tent). After dinner, you will have the opportunity to enjoy sitting in the outdoor hot-tub, and if you are lucky the Northern Lights will be dancing in the sky. Also tonight we go out chasing the light. After breakfast in the cabin, start your own excurson in the nearby area. Here you will find great opportunities to find moose and eagles. For this day, you will have an opportunity to loan snowshoes for a walk around the area on your own. Dog-sledding, or snowmobile safari can be done if ordered in advance as well. Or simply relax in camp. In the evening, your dinner will be served in the Lavvu. We make this night special with local stories; hear about the old days and take the opportunity to ask all the questions you like. After dinner, you will start chasing the northern lights in the near area by foot or minibus. As unpredictable as can be, but even the weakest aurora can leave the most seasoned veteran awe-stroked. Ranging from deep green in color to the strongest purple, with curtains dancing across the sky, this is an activity that will remain with you for the rest of your life. After about 2-3 hours you will return to the camp, for your overnight stay. Accommodation at Artic-Lyngen Seacamp Lodge

Breakfast in cabin. Depending on your departure time, you will be visiting the local area to see what the inhabitant’s doo for living. You will also have an opportunity to visit a local factory. Here they make oil of salmon waste from the surrounding salmon farms, and in May and June they also make oil from seal blubber. The oil from the salmon is used for heating factories in south Norway and Finland. On our way back to Tromsø we can also do a stop in the local handicraft shop.
